Political Economy
Comprised of nine research teams, each studying aspects of Korean politics, economy, technology, and culture.
We promote interdisciplinary collaboration and global academic exchange.

We study the structure of Korea’s politics and economy to suggest directions for change.
The Political Economy Research Team explores the structure of Korea’s political and economic systems to analyze national development and policy directions. Key research areas include government policy, industrial structure, financial markets, and international economic cooperation. Through this, the team aims to help Korea maintain and enhance its competitiveness in the global market.
The team conducts comprehensive research by considering both political and policy changes occurring during the process of economic growth. It also seeks to predict social transformations. In collaboration with domestic and international academic institutions, the team shares its research findings and contributes to public and private sector decision-making through policy proposals.
We aim to provide valuable insights and materials for researchers and students interested in understanding the dynamics of modern Korean political economy. Through international research exchanges and cooperation, we strive to maximize the scalability and practical application of our work.
