Colloquium – The Case of Han Jeongsun: Song in the Fabric of Everyday Life

Drawing on field encounters with Han Jeongsun, the presentation explored how song extends beyond formal performance into everyday speech, emotional communication, and even social and political discourse.

Through vivid examples, Professor Pilzer showed how the fluid boundary between song and spoken language reveals the power of music to interpret personal experience and help individuals navigate social reality.
