[Academic] Colloquium - Accompanying the Specters: Fictional Narratives about the Sewol Ferry Disaster

The K-Narrative Team of SNU Contemporary Korean Studies holds a monthly colloquium to critically explore the emerging trends in contemporary Korean narratives. We invite active participation from members of the university community.

The presenter for the September 26 session is Yoon Kyung-hee (Lecturer, Korea National University of Arts). Her talk, titled “Accompanying the Specters: Fictional Narratives about the Sewol Ferry Disaster,” explores how literary works dealing with the Sewol tragedy reflect on national identity, collective memory, and the limits of state-defined cultural narratives.
