  • Kwon Hyung-Ki

    Professor Hyung-Ki Kwon teaches Political Science in the Department of Political Science and International Relations at Seoul National University. His research interests include comparative politics, comparative political economy, political theory, and European politics. He received his Ph.D. from the University of Chicago and has conducted extensive research on the relationship between capitalism and democracy, comparative models of advanced political economies, and the reconfiguration of nation-states under globalization. He currently serves as Director of the Institute for Korean Politics at Seoul National University and has published numerous articles in leading journals such as Politics and Society and Comparative Political Studies. His major works include The Establishment and Evolution of the Irish Social Partnership Model and Changes by Competition (Oxford University Press, 2021), both of which received the Korean Political Science Association Book Award.

  • Kwon Hyun-Ji

    Professor Hyun-Ji Kwon teaches in the Department of Sociology at Seoul National University. Her research focuses on labor markets and industrial relations, comparative employment systems, and employment relations in the service sector. She earned her Ph.D. from the ILR School at Cornell University and previously conducted research and teaching at the Korea Labor Institute and King’s College London. Her recent work analyzes the restructuring of labor market institutions and inequality in the context of rapid societal changes such as industrial transformation, global value chain reorganization, and digital transition. She also examines gender inequality, relational and categorical inequalities within organizations, and the employment trajectories of youth and women. She currently serves as Editor-in-Chief of the Korean Journal of Industrial Relations and has published widely in both domestic and international journals.

  • Kim Kyung-Mi

    Kyung-Mi Kim is Visiting Assistant Professor in the Program in Philosophy, Politics, and Economics at Seoul National University and also lectures at Sapienza University of Rome. She earned her B.A., M.A., and Ph.D. in Political Science from Seoul National University. Her primary field of research is the political economy of Korea, with a particular focus on the characteristics and historical evolution of the Korean model of state coordination from a comparative political economy perspective. She is the author of The Korean Developmental State (2020) and has published articles such as “Persistence or Change? Evolution of the Korean Developmental State” (Journal of Austrailian Political Economy, 87, 2021) and “The State’s Role in Globalization: Korea’s Experience from a Comparative Perspective” (Politics & Society, 45(4), 2017, co-authored).

  • Song Jae-Yong

    Professor Jae-Yong Song is the Amorepacific Distinguished Professor of Business Administration at Seoul National University. His primary research areas are business strategy and international business. He received his B.A. and M.A. from Seoul National University and his Ph.D. from the Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania. He has also served as a faculty member at Columbia University and Yonsei University. He has held leadership positions as Chair of the International Business Division of the Academy of Management and as Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of International Business Studies. His research has been published in top journals such as Management Science, Strategic Management Journal, and Organization Science. His major books include Smart Management, Paradigm Shift, and The Samsung Way. He also provides consulting and lectures extensively for domestic and international corporations.

  • Lee Keun

    Professor Keun Lee is a Distinguished Professor of Economics at Chung-Ang University and Director of the Center for Innovation and Growth. He is a leading scholar of “catch-up economics,” which explains the industrialization and economic growth of latecomer economies. He studied economics at Seoul National University and received his Ph.D. in Economics from the University of California, Berkeley. He previously served as Distinguished Professor of Economics and Director of the Center for Comparative Economic Studies at Seoul National University. He has been active in both academia and policymaking, serving as Vice-Chairman of the National Economic Advisory Council (2019–2021), President of the Korean International Economic Association (2020), and President of the Korean Economic Association (2025). Currently, he is Chairman of the Institute for Catch-up Economics and serves on the editorial boards of major international journals such as Research Policy and Industrial and Corporate Change.
