Across Theory and the Field: Korean Studies for the Future
The K-Future Team explores new theoretical resources for twenty-first-century Korean studies and captures emerging symptoms that shed light on the future trajectories of Korean society.
Through our regular academic seminar, “Theory Atelier,” we bring contemporary theory in the humanities and social sciences into dialogue with Korean studies, while examining key cases of social transformation in Korea through fieldwork and textual analysis.
This work aims to connect these theoretical experiments with Korean studies, expanding the field beyond questions of the past and identity toward those of the present and the future.
