  • Park Yong-Lae

    Professor Yong-Lae Park is a faculty member in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at Seoul National University and Director of the Soft Robotics and Bionics Lab (SRBL). His research focuses on bio-inspired soft robotic systems and technologies for human–robot interaction. He earned his B.S. from Korea University and his M.S. and Ph.D. from Stanford University, completed postdoctoral research at the Wyss Institute of Harvard University, and served as an Assistant Professor at the Robotics Institute, Carnegie Mellon University, before joining SNU. His work emphasizes the development of technologies such as soft actuators, artificial muscles, wearable robots, and tactile and proprioceptive sensors to assist or augment human movement. He has published extensively in leading international journals and holds numerous patents in these fields.

  • Koo Yoon-Mo

    Professor Yoon-Mo Koo is a professor at the Graduate School of Engineering Practice at Seoul National University. His research and teaching focus on science and technology policy, technological innovation, technological forecasting, and strategic planning. He received his B.S. from KAIST and his Ph.D. from Seoul National University, and has served as a visiting professor at the Georgia Institute of Technology and as a research fellow at the Korea Environment Institute (KEI). Professor Koo has contributed to the development of national science and technology policies and innovation strategies, collaborating with government and research institutions on projects involving technology impact assessment, future technology forecasting, and industrial strategy planning. He is also active in international academic and advisory activities related to innovation policy.

  • Kang Ja-Hyun

    Professor Ja-Hyun Kang is a professor of Adult Nursing at the College of Nursing, Seoul National University, and a leading expert in hospital epidemiology and healthcare-associated infection prevention and control in Korea. She earned dual B.A. degrees in Nursing and Sociology from Korea University, an M.P.H. from Seoul National University, and a Ph.D. in Nursing from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She gained clinical experience as an infection control nurse and advanced practice nurse at Korea University Anam Hospital and Seoul National University Bundang Hospital before pursuing academic and research work at UNC and the University of Pittsburgh. Her current research includes interventions for hospital infection control, improving healthcare workers’ adherence to prevention practices, patient safety and healthcare quality management, global health and simulation-based education, and the development of infection control tools.

  • Kim Bon

    Professor Bon Kim received her Ph.D. in Gerontology from the University of Massachusetts Boston and is currently a Research Professor at the Institute of Population and Society, Dongguk University. Her research focuses on improving quality of life in later life and promoting healthy aging, with an emphasis on policy responses to population aging and the development of community-based welfare systems. Her empirical studies examine issues such as elderly social isolation, health inequality, and community-integrated care models, contributing to the design of sustainable welfare policies. She is also actively involved in academic research and policy consulting in the field of gerontology.
