안녕하십니까? 현대한국종합연구단 미래팀에서 발레리 줄레조 교수의 강연을 듣고 대화를 나누는 콜로키움 자리를 갖습니다.
줄레조 교수는 프랑스에서 한국 사회를 연구하는 대표 연구자 중 한 명입니다. 서울의 아파트단지를 다룬 그녀의 박사학위논문은 2003년 책으로 출간되었고, 그해 프랑스 지리학회가 수여하는 가르니에 상을 수상한 바 있습니다.
Short bio: Valérie Gelézeau is a cultural geographer and Koreanologist, professor at EHESS, Paris, France. She published Doing Fieldwork in North Korea (2021 with Joinau), De-bordering Korea. Tangible and intangible legacies of the Sunshine Policy (2013 with De Ceuster and Delissen), and Seoul a Megapolis (2011). Her book Ap’at’ŭ konghwaguk (The Republic of Apartments, Humanitas, 2007) was distinguished as a “recommended reference in the social sciences” by the South Korean Ministry of Culture. She recently directed a project on North Korean city (https://citynkor.hypotheses.org/). She was also awarded the France-Korea Cultural Prize in 2008 and the CNRS Bronze Medal in 2005.
